This podcast is devoted to encouraging you in your homeschooling journey through conversations with amazing homeschool leaders and advocates. Today I have the privilege of talking with Mike Donnelly. He is intensely committed to his family, homeschooling, freedom, parental rights, and the international homeschooling community. He is the husband of one, father of seven, an attorney, published author, and adjunct professor! As Mother Teresa received the Nobel Peace Prize, she was asked, “What can we do to contribute to world peace?” Her reply, “Go home and love your family.” In this vital conversation with Mike Donnelly, attorney and homeschool dad of seven, we discuss how homeschooling builds strong families, which builds strong churches, strong cultures, and strong countries. We must remember our history and fight the battle to preserve homeschool freedom for our children’s children. Tauna Meyer is with me today and you are going to love her and be encouraged in your homeschooling journey as you listen. Tauna homeschools six amazing, messy, loud, beautiful children (her words not mine). We can all relate to that! She has been encouraging moms for years through her Proverbial Homemaker ministry. And as a side note, before motherhood, she was a software systems analyst. Besides homeschooling, Tauna and I have two interesting things in common: Chocolate is a primary food group, and we both entered adulthood with zero homemaking and cooking skills. Tauna Meyer is a self-proclaimed Type B homeschool mom. God has created each of us uniquely, and Tauna is proof positive that being super structured doesn’t work for everyone. In this episode, Tauna gives an overview of the very practical approach of loop scheduling. You’ll be refreshed knowing God cares about the details and will help you build a homeschool routine that works well naturally for your family and is far more sustainable and enjoyable, too!
